Young people with capability, direction and responsibility.

TOIVO’s mission:

To help every student learn to think, to learn, to choose and to work with others, in an environment where they are seen, respected and appropriately challenged, and step by step to turn their abilities into a meaningful direction in life and a contribution to the world.

We do not label young people early as “suited to a certain career” or “a certain type”. A sense of direction takes shape gradually through:

Self-understanding
Real-world exploration
Trying things out
Feedback and revision
Evidence of capability
Choosing a next step

TOIVO helps young people keep forming and revising their own “direction hypothesis” as they face uncertainty:

What do I care about?
What capabilities am I building?
What problem do I want to solve, and for whom?
What do I still need to learn?
In which real setting can I test myself next?

Who we are.

TOIVO is being built by a team with experience in education, technology, youth development, corporate partnerships, community service, learning design, AI products and intercultural work.

Our team understands:

The daily pressures on schools and the professional realities of teachers
Parents’ concerns about their children’s learning, wellbeing and future
What universities and companies need in youth capability, talent and social impact
The resources and limits of NGOs and communities in tackling real problems
The language, cultural and belonging challenges faced by young people who are cross-boundary, non-Chinese speaking or from other diverse backgrounds
The great possibilities AI brings, and the risks it poses to education, fairness, privacy and human agency

Why we are building TOIVO.

We believe the next generation needs to be seen, trusted and appropriately challenged, with chances to try, make mistakes, revise, collaborate and contribute in the real world.

TOIVO is Finnish for hope, and the Chinese name 托禾 carries the sense of support and growth. Together the name stands for hope, support and the strength to keep moving forward.

We want technology to help more young people build lives they believe in and bring positive change to others.
